COMPANION During The CORONAVIRUS
This week the coronavirus pandemic in Spain has worsened to the point of becoming a great threat to all Spaniards. This is why the members of the board of COMPANION have decided on Tuesday, March 10, to suspend all activities until further notice.
We are sympathetic towards this situation and believe that it is our duty as citizens to be responsible to prevent the spread of this virus. We hope that it will not last for very long. However, Companion is now working from home.
Alan holds workshops to teach the elderly how to use new technologies such as Skype, Zoom, Youtube, and other programs. Pilar, Engracia and Ada have devised masks in case it becomes necessary to start supply and meet the needs of those in close proximity as a way to fight against the virus. Ada has also written the first-round letters of encouragement to hospital patients. Natán and Lucía will try to keep this website up and running so that we can remain in contact. That being said, cheer up everyone!
There will soon be a new section on the website called ‘STORIES OF HOPE’ where we look forward to bring hope to our community.
Thank you!
COMPANION
