Companion shared apartment anniversary

On November 14 of last year, one of the dreams that the Companion association had had since its creation came true: the first shared flat was opened.

This is a pilot project that we started with great enthusiasm and with the hope of alleviating the loneliness and restlessness of several women who were struggling to move on in difficult life situations.

We are not going to fool ourselves, the experience has not been easy. Living together is usually difficult, but it is an opportunity to grow in Christian love and to exercise patience. Thank God there is no better glue to keep people together than knowing how to ask for forgiveness and forgive.

The hardest thing came when, just before the summer, the three users of the apartment became seriously ill with various ailments. Despite everything, by the mercy of God, the three of them have recovered and, now more than ever, we can thank God for this first year together.

Many people have come to see the apartment, to do activities and to visit Tomasa, María Jesús and Isabel and have been able to verify that we have a generous, good and faithful God who has provided for the needs of each one.

To Him be the glory because only He has made it possible!
